Here are five tips to help you work towards your ideal work-life balance.
Track your time. Figure out what your priorities are. Do they balance? If not, work harder to spend your time more effectively to get what you do want.

Make changes in your life a little at a time. The thing is to make the changes and enjoy your journey. If you aren’t happy with your life, you’re the only one who can change it. You can complain or find ways to get what you want.
It’s easy to forget to thank your friends and family for being there when you need someone when you’re focused on work 24/7. You may also forget to thank God, or the spiritual being you worship. Remember that you didn’t get to where you are without help.
There’s something about getting the adrenaline going and blood pumping that helps you have a better work-life balance. You don’t need to start a professional athlete’s exercise plan, just get moving. It will clear your head and help you physically. Walk 15 minutes a day. Play golf. Do something that gets you away from your desk.
Live in the moment and don’t get distracted. When you’re eating, be purposeful. Enjoy your time with friends without worrying about work. Be present in the meeting at work and listen to your colleagues.
